    This is a transportation mini unit. This unit contains 3 lessons that give the students hands on experiences with transportation vehicles, sorting, patterning, and writing.
  • Pythagorean Theorem

  • Students will learn the history and be able to use the Pythagorean Theorem.
  • Students will create a sketchy on their handheld illustrating how to use the Pythagorean Theorem in the world.
  • Lights On Conservation

    The students will work in cooperative groups to investigate how the use of Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL’s) can help reduce carbon emissions. They will write and graph linear equations, develop a spreadsheet, and create a poster and flyer.
  • The Early Bird Gets the Worm

    This lesson builds on the Communication Arts Lesson of Figurative Language.
  • What's in My Day? A Graphing/Measurement Activity

    The students prove a circle graph is accurate. They collect data on how they spend a day, categorize and organize it in a spreadsheet. A circle graph is created. The students compute the correct degrees and measure the circle graph for accuracy.
